For its 3rd year, Singapore's International A Cappella Festival will continue to grow into a month long vocal extravaganza featuring top A Cappella groups from around the world! Suade brings its down under charm with smooth harmonies, soulful voices and comedic performances. Fool Moon promises to dazzle the audience with its take on classic songs. Vocaldente makes a return visit to the festival, bringing with them their unique style of pop a cappella. Other German groups include Niniwe, and Klangbezirk for a heavy dose of Vocal Jazz. Orange and A-Five represent Asia in this international lineup. Local talent is definitely not forgotten in this festival! A Cappella acts like Coffee on Sunday, Key Elements, Notella and Acappuccino will also grace the stage.

We are a fabulous group of GORGEOUS. women who love to sing. It's as simple as that. Based in Singapore, this women's choir has no auditions, no embarrassing solos, no high collars, no church pews or flying hymn books... All that we ask for is bundles of enthusiasm and occasional attendance (it helps!) Created and led by Australian singer and composer Janet Swain, GORGEOUS. is an informal choir for women of all creed and colour who are united by their love of belting out a few tunes in their spare time. Pop, folk, gospel, classical... we sing music because we like it, wherever it comes from.

FreePlay Duo - Inspired Eclecticism
Multifaceted musicians Suba Sankaran and Dylan Bell join forces to create the FreePlay Duo. Described as “inspired eclecticism”, Dylan and Suba will take you from the concert halls of Europe, to the jazz clubs of Manhattan, to the temples of India, and back to the cultural mosaic of Toronto… all without leaving your seat. from Bach to Bird to the Beatles, Dylan and Suba effortlessly cross musical boundaries, continually combining and recombining sounds to create a concert of endless variety, with the intimate delivery of two people. What started as a typical voice-and-piano jazz duo began to evolve: more instruments were added, and more musical styles explored, to create a duo unique in its musical depth and variety. Imagine Simon and Garfunkel crossed with a Bach 2-part invention... or an acrobatic jazz melody combined with ancient Indian solkattu... or an 8-part vocal arrangement created by two singers, right before your eyes... and you'll get a glimpse of what the Duo has to offer.

This year at the prestigious annual A Cappella Championships, we will see 6 international teams, who will travel from within Asia, competing for the top award in our international ensemble category. This is the first time we have an entire evening dedicated to international teams due to the ever increasing number of teams. From as many countries as they come from, they will bring their pop and folk musical arrangements, ensuring that the repertoire for the evening will be not only entertaining but also educational and surely inspiring. Furthermore, we are privileged to host a guest group on that evening all the way from Sri Lanka. The Revelations are currently ranked #4th in the world among male voice choirs

NANU at HeritageFest
Catch NANU performing during HeritageFest's Festival Finale as part of the English Concert YO!! the Young & Original Concert at SMU Campus Green on 20 August, 8pm. For the first time in the seven year history of the Singapore HeritageFest, we are proud to bring to you three exciting days of heritage events at the Arts and Heritage District. Come down to the Singapore Management University (SMU) Campus Green and be part of the non-stop pulsating events and activities. Beginning 20 August, you will be entertained with four mega concerts on one stage – English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil with a stunning line up of young and veteran local and regional artistes, a mega food fair with 18 stalls, an ethnic crafts fair, a contemporary art and crafts fair and craft demonstrations. There will also be cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, roving performances, games and children's programmes which the whole family can take part in! You can also meet and interact with hawkers from the past.

Check out programmes like: 4 Flo’ – our all-new Hip-Hop Festival bringing you rhymes, beats, b-boying and graffiti from fresh, young rap, hip-hop and dance crew and artists from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia and more. Includes performances, masterclasses, all-star jam and dance-crew battle. Supah Heroes! – featuring superhero-themed music played by a youth Chinese orchestra. A Cappella Christmas - A Vocal Jam
Ring in the Christmas season with this fun and interactive programme from The A Cappella Society. In two shows, one for children, one for youth and young-at-heart, A Cappella groups will bring the season's music closer to you. Expect to hear all your favourite carols and tunes in an intimate and informal setting. But be prepared to be active yourself and to sing along! Following the success of the first installment of Christmas Vocal Jam with nanu, this year’s concert will present The A Cappella Society’s Pop Choir and guest singers and groups who will all add to the merry-making and yuletide cheer by bringing to you much loved Christmas favourites sung in traditional and pop a cappella style. In this concert, the audience is the star of the show. From singing to toe tapping, finger-pointing and boogying the afternoon or night away, everyone is promised an enjoyable and memorable time.
