TAS Youth Voices Regeneration Christmas Performance
Christmas greetings from The A Cappella Society! As the joyous season of Advent and Christmas is round the corner, we are gearing up for yet another wonderful season of singing and performance. Each year we look forward to sharing our music with as many people in Singapore as we can possibly reach. This year, we have a beautiful programme including a host of song arrangements by Derrick Johnson, known for his work with choral instrumentation (a cappella) and the Regeneration Christmas recordings, and we would love for the opportunity to perform for you. Our choir is made up of energetic and lively youths aged between 14 and 20 years old, who receive free training and performance opportunities to build on their vocal talents and interest in a cappella music, under the guidence of Mrs Angelina Choo-Sassarak and assistant trainer, Cindy Chia. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas Season.

Discovering the different elements that are essential to Earth’s wellbeing, the children are free to create Guardians from their imagination, who will cooperate with Man to restore the equilibrium and end Mother Earth’s woes.

Peranakan Museum Opening
TAS Youth Voices will be a part of the opening festivities of the Peranakan Museum on 26 April performing traditional tunes with modern infusions, all A Cappella. Come celebrate the opening of Singapore’s newest museum in style at the Peranakan Bash! The opening day is filled with Peranakan music and dance ending with makan and joget to the tunes of the Melodians from Melaka. The festivities at the Peranakan Museum, 39 Armenian Street, will go on for 3 weeks.

TAS Youth Voices is a youth group with teens from 13-18 years of age. You may have witnessed some of our performances at various locations or events. We are a training ground for a cappella enthusiasts alike.
We provide free training in singing a cappella (which includes harmony singing and solo delivery as well) and also do lots of performance and stage craft. We also allow potential singers to perform at various events and locations; great for your personal portfolio!
We usually rehearse on Saturdays at the TAS Home @ Telok Ayer Performing Arts Centre (Cecil street, tanjong pagar mrt). Rehearsals are going on now for the Christmas season at 2pm every Saturday (time subject to change). Feel free to drop by for a visit and perhaps join us in some joyful a cappella music making.

This group of enthusiastic youths come under the training programme of the The A Cappella Society and receive guidance and training throughout the year for performances from the Cheque Presentation by President Nathan at SPH to the Shine 2006 Festival Press Launch and more. They come with a lot of stage experience gained at multiple private and public performances all year round. Their repertoire spans from A Cappella classics like Only You, jazz and pop standards in English and Mandarin, to contemporary pop songs like Let’s Get Loud.
